Tour Itinerary
Arrival in Delhi – Soul of Modern India with Ancient Roots

- Welcome to India! Upon your arrival at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, our representative will greet you with a warm “Namaste” and a traditional garland as a token of hospitality.
- Your Noor Jahan heritage journey begins with a comfortable morning pick-up from Delhi followed by a scenic drive towards Fatehpur Sikri, the magnificent abandoned Mughal capital built by Emperor Akbar.
- As you walk through the grand courtyards, royal palaces, and hidden chambers of Fatehpur Sikri, the stories of Mughal women begin to unfold. This city represents the world into which Noor Jahan would later rise — a world dominated by emperors, politics, and royal traditions, where only the strongest women could leave a lasting legacy.
- Visit the elegant palaces associated with royal women, including the beautifully designed courtyards often linked to queens and noble ladies of the Mughal era. Your guide will share fascinating stories about the role of women inside the Mughal court, their influence on art, culture, and political decisions.

- Later, continue towards Sikandra to visit the magnificent Tomb of Akbar the Great. This monument symbolizes the powerful Mughal empire that shaped Noor Jahan’s destiny and the cultural environment in which she later became one of the most influential women in Indian history.
- In the evening, visit the peaceful Mehtab Bagh located across the Yamuna River. As the sun slowly sets behind the Taj Mahal, enjoy a storytelling experience inspired by Noor Jahan, Mughal romance, poetry, and the hidden strength of royal women who shaped the empire from behind palace walls.
City of Eternal Love with Royal Legacy
Experiences:
Begin your morning with a breathtaking sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal, where soft golden light reflects beautifully on the white marble monument.
Although the Taj Mahal is known as a symbol of eternal love, this experience also explores the powerful role women played in shaping Mughal history and architecture. Through storytelling inspired by The Twentieth Wife, understand how royal women like Noor Jahan influenced aesthetics, design, fashion, gardens, perfumes, and court culture across the empire.
After breakfast, continue to the majestic Agra Fort — the powerful Mughal fortress where emperors ruled and royal politics shaped the future of India. This is one of the most important sites connected to Noor Jahan’s political influence. Inside these palace walls, she became far more than an empress; she became an advisor, strategist, decision-maker, and one of the few Mughal women to exercise direct authority.
Your guide will reveal how Noor Jahan issued royal orders, influenced imperial decisions, and challenged the traditional limitations placed on women during the Mughal era.

Later, visit the beautiful Itimad-ud-Daulah, famously known as the Baby Taj. Built by Noor Jahan in memory of her father, this elegant marble tomb is considered one of the finest examples of Mughal architecture and reflects her refined artistic vision.
Unlike many royal women remembered only through legends, Noor Jahan left behind monuments, political influence, artistic innovations, and a powerful legacy that continues to inspire women even today.
Spend the evening at leisure exploring Agra’s local heritage markets, marble craftsmanship, and Mughal-inspired cuisine.
Agra to Delhi (Approx. 4 hrs) – Departure
Experiences:
After breakfast, drive back to Delhi with unforgettable memories of a journey inspired by courage, resilience, power, and heritage.
More than just a historical tour, this experience celebrates the rise of Noor Jahan — a woman who transformed her destiny in one of the most powerful empires of the medieval world.
From the royal courtyards of Fatehpur Sikri to the timeless elegance of the Taj Mahal and the political halls of Agra Fort, every monument on this journey reflects a chapter of women’s influence in Mughal India.

What our Clients Say
Posted on David NVerified 2 day tour of Agra and the Taj Mahal from Delhi My friend and I had just completed an intrepid tour Mountains and Mystics. This did not include the Taj Mahal so we arranged a 2 day trip from Delhi. We were picked up from our hotel and transferred to our train seats for the 3 hour trip to Agra. The trip was organised by Tushar Singh and our guide was Aomod. Tushar arranged everything perfectly and Aomod was an excellent and knowledgeable guide. He ensured that we saw the Taj at the best times and light, with the least crowds. Our hotel Pushp palace was very good. As was our driver. At the end of the trip Tushar ensured that we got on the right train back to Delhi. I would recommend this trip even to those who have been Agra before.
